International gorilla permits currently cost US$1,500 per person per trek, so every Rwanda package should be designed around the permit date first. The rest — hotel, driver, Lake Kivu or regional flight — should flex around that fixed point.
1. Kigali + Volcanoes National Park
The cleanest first Rwanda honeymoon: one Kigali buffer night, three Volcanoes nights and one final night before flying home or onward.

What should a Rwanda honeymoon package cost?

How many nights do you need for a Rwanda honeymoon?
Five nights is enough for Kigali and a well-paced Volcanoes stay. Seven nights is better if you want Lake Kivu. Ten or more nights allows Nyungwe or Akagera without rushing.
What is the best Rwanda honeymoon package?
For a Rwanda-only honeymoon, three Volcanoes nights plus two or three Lake Kivu nights is the strongest balance. For a two-destination honeymoon, four Rwanda nights followed by seven Mauritius or Seychelles nights works particularly well.
Should we do one or two gorilla treks?
One trek is enough for most couples. A second makes sense when gorillas are the main reason for the trip and the extra US$3,000 permit cost for the couple fits comfortably.
