Terms & Conditions
Last updated 6 August 2026
These terms govern your use of honeymoons.africa. The most important points are in the first two sections, and we would rather you read those than skim the whole page.
1. We are not a tour operator
honeymoons.africa publishes planning guides and operates a free introduction service. We do not sell, arrange, organise or operate travel. We do not take bookings, hold your money, issue tickets or confirm reservations.
When we introduce you to a tour operator, any trip you subsequently book is a contract between you and that operator alone. Their terms, cancellation policy, payment schedule and financial protection apply. We are not a party to that contract and have no liability under it.
This matters practically: before you pay a deposit, check what financial protection the operator offers — bonding, trust accounts, ATOL or equivalent in their jurisdiction — and what happens to your money if they cease trading. We encourage you to ask, and a reputable operator will answer clearly.
2. How we are paid
Our service is free to you. If you book with an operator we introduced you to, that operator pays us a commission. You do not pay more than you would by approaching that operator directly.
We disclose this because it shapes our incentives and you should know about it. It means we earn nothing unless you book, and we are therefore motivated to match you well. It does not mean our guides recommend whoever pays most — but you are entitled to weigh our advice in that knowledge.
3. The information we publish
We take care to make our guides accurate and we update them, but travel information changes constantly. Prices, visa rules, entry requirements, seasons, camp openings, health advice and safety conditions all change without notice, sometimes at short notice.
The price bands we publish are indicative estimates based on our understanding of the market. They are not quotes and are not binding on us or on any operator.
You must independently verify anything that matters before you commit money or travel, in particular:
- Visa and entry requirements — check the official government source for your nationality
- Health and vaccination requirements — consult a doctor or travel clinic; nothing on this site is medical advice
- Safety and security — check your own government’s current travel advice for the specific regions on your itinerary
- Insurance — confirm your policy covers medical evacuation and the activities you plan
To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on information published on this site.
4. Using the enquiry form
By submitting the planning form you confirm that the details you provide are accurate and that you are happy for us to share them with tour operators matched to your enquiry, as described in our privacy policy. You must be 18 or over to submit an enquiry.
Please do not submit false information, other people’s details without their knowledge, or use the form for anything other than a genuine travel enquiry. We may decline to pass on an enquiry at our discretion.
5. What we do not guarantee
- That any operator will respond to your enquiry, or respond within a particular time
- That the proposals you receive will be within your stated budget
- That availability exists for your dates
- That the site will be available uninterrupted or free of errors
6. For tour operators
Operators receiving introductions from us do so on separately agreed terms. Nothing on this page creates a partnership, agency or joint venture between us. Operators are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, financial protection and compliance, and for their handling of any personal data we pass to them.
7. Intellectual property
The text, guides, layout and design of this site belong to honeymoons.africa. You are welcome to link to us and to quote short extracts with attribution. Please do not republish our guides wholesale, or use them to train or generate substantially similar content, without permission.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with this site and the introduction service is limited to any commission we actually received in relation to your booking.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will revise the date at the top when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which honeymoons.africa is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any statutory rights you have as a consumer in your own country of residence.
