The Seychelles is made for couples who want a proper beach honeymoon rather than a short stop after a safari. This itinerary keeps movement to a minimum — two island changes in ten nights — so you see three very different islands without the trip becoming about packing. Day-by-day Seychelles honeymoon itinerary
Night 1: Mahé — arrive and recover
Most long-haul flights land on Mahé in the morning. Stay one night close to the airport or on the west coast rather than connecting straight on. You arrive rested for the islands, avoid tight connections if your flight is delayed, and still get a sunset swim on your first evening.
Nights 2–6: Praslin — the beach base
Day 2: Fly to Praslin (about 15–20 minutes) or take the fast ferry (about an hour). Check in, then spend the afternoon on your hotel’s beach.
Day 3: Go early to Anse Lazio, the island’s signature beach, before day visitors arrive. Long lunch nearby, afternoon nap, sunset drinks.
Day 4: Walk through the Vallée de Mai, the UNESCO-listed palm forest and home of the coco de mer, in the cool of the morning. Relax in the afternoon.
Day 5: A private boat day to Curieuse Island for giant tortoises and snorkelling, with a barbecue lunch on the beach.
Day 6: A deliberately empty day — spa, pool, or a return to your favourite beach — finished with a beachfront candlelit dinner.
Nights 7–10: La Digue — the slow finish
Day 7: Take the 15-minute ferry to La Digue. Pick up bicycles and explore the island’s quiet lanes.
Day 8: Cycle to Anse Source d’Argent through L’Union Estate first thing in the morning, when the light is soft and the beach is almost empty.
Day 9: Walk the coastal trail from Grand Anse to Anse Cocos and its natural rock pool, or take a snorkelling trip to Coco Island.
Day 10: Unplanned — revisit a favourite beach, then a sunset walk and a final Creole dinner.
Day 11: Departure
Ferry back to Mahé (about 1.5 hours via Praslin) or ferry to Praslin and fly. For early international departures, swap one La Digue night for a final night on Mahé.
Where to stay on each island
- Mahé: a comfortable hotel near the airport or on the west coast for one night; no need to splurge.
- Praslin: spend the most here — a beach resort or private-pool villa on the north-west coast for sunsets and beach access.
- La Digue: a boutique hotel or villa with bicycles and a good terrace; the island itself is the luxury.

When to go
April–May and October–November bring the lightest winds and calmest ferry crossings. June to September is drier but breezier, so flying between Mahé and Praslin is more comfortable.
