A private dinner on the beach is one of the classic Indian Ocean honeymoon experiences because it is simple, intimate and easy to add without changing the itinerary. The best versions are genuinely private: one table, a quiet stretch of beach and enough distance from the main restaurant that it feels like your own evening.
Where is it best?
Zanzibar, Seychelles, Mauritius and Mozambique are the obvious choices. Smaller resorts often do it particularly well because staff can choose a quiet section of beach rather than setting up several honeymoon tables together.
