Choose Camps Bay if the room view, sunset, beach atmosphere and walkable dinner scene are part of the honeymoon itself. Choose the Waterfront if this is your first Cape Town visit and you value central logistics, museums, shops and an easy base for day trips. Neither is objectively better; they create very different evenings.
How we would split a four-night stay
If budget allows and you enjoy changing atmosphere, a two-plus-two split can work: two nights in Camps Bay or Bantry Bay for the Atlantic side, then two nights at the Waterfront before the Winelands or safari. But for most couples, one excellent hotel for all four nights is calmer. Change hotels only when the neighbourhood change is the point.
