What the cruise is like
- Departure: usually mid to late afternoon, timed so you are on the water for sunset.
- Wildlife: hippos and crocodiles are almost guaranteed; elephants often cross to islands in the dry season, and birdlife includes African fish eagles and kingfishers.

Choosing the right boat for a honeymoon
The biggest difference between cruises is the size of the boat. Large double-deck cruisers carry many passengers and can feel like a party on the water.
