When is the best time for a honeymoon in Madagascar?
Madagascar is huge and its climate varies from the humid east coast to the dry south-west and the cooler central highlands. For a honeymoon combining rainforest lemurs, dramatic landscapes and a beach finish, the dry season is by far the easiest time to travel, because many unpaved roads become difficult or impassable in the rains.

Best time for lemurs and wildlife
Lemurs can be seen all year in parks such as Andasibe and Ranomafana. From about September to November, many species carry young, and reptiles and chameleons become more active as temperatures rise. The cooler months from June to August are comfortable for walking, though some animals are less active on cold highland nights.
Best time for Nosy Be and the islands
The north-west islands around Nosy Be and Nosy Komba are best from about April to November, with sunny days and calm seas. The Avenue of the Baobabs
The famous baobabs near Morondava are best visited in the dry season, when roads in the west are open and sunsets are clear. The rainy months can cut off parts of the region.
