Exclusive-Use Safari Lodge
Your own lodge or villa, with private staff, guide, vehicle and space entirely to yourselves.
Exclusive-use accommodation sits at the top end of the safari market. Instead of reserving one suite in a shared camp, you reserve an entire villa, house or small camp. For honeymooners, the appeal is privacy and flexibility rather than simply more space.
Where is it best?
Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia have excellent private villas and small camps.
| Typical rate | What it can include |
|---|---|
| US$900–2,500+ pp/night | Private guide, vehicle, chef, host, meals and activities. |
| Best length | 2–4 nights |
| Best for | Maximum privacy and flexible safari days |
What you are really paying for
The biggest advantage is control. Meals can happen when you want, drives can leave when you want and there are no shared common areas unless you invite someone in. In some villas, the private guide and vehicle are included automatically.
When does it make sense?
It works best as a short splurge rather than the entire honeymoon. Two or three nights at a private villa followed by a more conventional camp often gives the experience without making the whole trip prohibitively expensive.
